KBR MinistriesThy Word » Testimonies of Scripture Memory by Several Sisters in Christ

Ready to Give a Defense » By Maggie
"Scripture memory is a truly beautiful thing. What a joy it is to have portions of the Lord’s Word kept close in our hearts...."

A Song of Praise » By Monica
"We all go through times when we are emotionally or spiritually down. If we continue to dwell upon these times, our problems will only appear bigger and worse than before. Just think what would happen if we chose instead to speak God’s Truth over the situation..."

Memorizing With Our Family » By Amanda
"The most effective way to memorize Scripture is with our family. Memorizing together provides the support, strength, and encouragement that we need to be unified in the faith..."

Preparing for War » By Samantha
"Imagine for a moment that you are hiking through an immense track of woods... You are going somewhere no one else has ever been. You have everything you think is necessary for such a journey..."

A Testimony of Scripture Memory » By Bethany
"You will never know if you will need a special verse when witnessing to others, or if you might need a verse to help encourage someone to do what is right. What a blessing it would be to quote to yourself verses when you are going through a hard time, or when you are scared..."

A Trophy in My Heart » By Brittany
"Competing in the National Bible Bee was a great experience for me, and although the challenges were great, the rewards of memorizing God’s Word were infinitely greater! God taught me many lessons from competing in the National Bible Bee. In this article, I hope to share a few of them..."

Memorizing God's Word » Abigail
"Scripture memorization is a topic I’m really excited about. I am blessed with parents who took time to help me memorize Scripture as soon as I learned to talk, reminding me of the important of hiding the Word in my heart so it would always be with me..."

In the next issue (autumn 2010; Volume 6, Issue 4), we are going to focus on the theme of Submission. All submissions for consideration in this issue should be sent by August 15, 2010. We are looking forward to hearing what the Lord has shown you in this area!

IDEAS » Women are to be submissive to their authority, yet this goes against our sinful human nature. How do we overcome an independent attitude and embrace the protection God has ordained in our life? How did the Lord turn your heart toward your authority? How will learning this now, as daughters, prepare us for our future calling as a wife?

As always, we'll have our regular columns and non-thematic submissions. We welcome submissions that follow our submission guidelines. Non-thematic submissions are welcome as well, such as inspiring articles, letters, poems, pictures, book reviews, The Young Maid questions and/or replies, prayer requests, and craft ideas/projects. Items received may be published on the website or held for future issues if there is not room in the next printed issue (specify if you don't want your submission on the website).
